The James Dean House is located 10 minutes north of New Hope and Lambertville, just outside of Stockton, New Jersey. New Hope and Lambertville are the cultural centers of the river, offering unlimited fine restaurants, art galleries, theatre, concerts, exhibitions, nightclubs, antiquing and auction houses. The Centre Bridge river crossing into Bucks County is less than two miles from the house, and both Doylestown and Flemington are less than a fifteen minute drive. The Delaware River and the Delaware and Raritan Canal State Park are less than a mile from the property, offering swimming, kayaking, canoeing, rafting, and 60 miles of uninterrupted biking, running and hiking trails.

One of the many appeals of the property is its proximity to the village of Rosemont, several hundred yards from the house. The town, population 49, offers a post office, a fine restaurant, local shops and the increased security of a close community.
